Rays Beat Boston in Game 7...Next challange comes the Phillies

The unbelievable story continues. All because of one man.....Matt Garza. Sure he may "worship satan" but the man can pitch. After a first inning deep fly by Dustin Pedroia things looked bleak. However Garza settled down immediatly and would be the only hit he gave up until the 7th.

Things got very interesting in the late innings as Boston had the bases loaded, and somehow, someway the Rays escaped unfazed. Just to put the nail on the coffin, Willy Aybar absolutely went YARD. With a 2 run lead the Rays kept their young rookie David Price in the game. He did business immediatly following what should have been strike three on the outside corner. After a blown call he got three straight outs and there was bedlem in the Trop. The redsox quietly left the stadium as the biggest story in sports continues.

Rays plan to host the Phils in the upcomming days of the 2008 WORLD SERIES

Rays vs Boston

After absolutely putting on a clinic in Boston, the Rays hold a 3-2 series lead. After the comeback by the Red Sox, i still see the Rays being the favorite considering their numbers in the Trop.
Next game Saturday

Yankee Stadium Has Grass

Great to see the New Big BallPark in the Bronx finally looking like a place where they place baseball.

Dodgers Sweep Cubs

I couldn't be happier for Joe Torre. All the media has been talking about lately is how the Cubs need to win because of the 100 year curse. That shouldn't take it away from this sparked Dodgers ball club. Joe Torre is the greatest manager of all time and has helped turn around this entire franchise.
With the Phillies currently winning in game 4, I expect to see a good series between two teams that are on fire.

Tie breaker between Chicago and Minnesota

After the Whitesox beat the Tigers today in a must win situation, they now force a tiebreaking game for the Central division. This is a tough prediction, whitesox have the bats, but the Twins have that great starting pitching.

Prediction:
Chicago wins by 2

MOOSE wins #20

FINALLY!! Mike Mussina for the first time in his great career has got 20 wins in one season. The win came from a 6-2 victory of the Boston Red Sox this afternoon. Many believe all Mussina needed was one 20 win season to be considered a Hall of Famer. Well i always believed he would make it to the hall, and hopefully this win will garuntee him a spot. The question now will be if he plays next season.

BREAKING NEWS: The Mets kinda suck

Just when you thought it couldnt happen again, it did. The collapse that shocked all of baseball in 07' occured once again this year. The mets seem to only have losing records when games matter, which is in september. After Church flied out deep to center to end it, there was a bit of deja vu feeling in Flushing, New York. So its offical, the mets kinda suck.

Last Day of the Regular Season

With the final days counting down, there are plenty of races to be going around:

Chicago vs Minnesota

After losing 5 in a row the Whitesox have watched the red hot twins takeover the Central. If the twins can hold on to this slight 1/2 game lead it will be an amazing comeback. The current scores are:

Whitesox 3 - Cleveland 1 bot 6th

Twins 2 - Kansas City top 5th

Mets vs Brewers

After the mid accusation of CC Sabathia the Brewers have been gaining ground on the New York Mets. Well, of course the mets are struggling, its the end of the year, and the Brewers are just as alive as the Mets. Its a tie between the two and will take one game to decide who continues into October, and who goes home early. Both teams came in with high expectations. It's only too bad the Brewers have the Cubs in the same division. As for the Mets, they had their chance and blew it to the fightin' Phils. It will be exciting to see who comes away with the Wild Card.
Scoreboard update:
Brewers 0 - Cubs 1 bot 7th
Mets 2 - Marlins 2 top 7th
